Every Little Thing You Need to Know About How to Apply Sunscreen Correctly

There is no substitute for using sunscreen to protect the skin from the harmful effects of sunlight. However, just applying sunscreen on the skin is not the only benefit. Its misuse can deprive you of benefits.

According to beauty experts, applying more sunscreen will not make the skin safer. Rather, there are rules. So there are a few important things to keep in mind to get the full benefits of sunscreen. The issues are-

1. The primary condition of skin care is cleanliness. Wash and clean your face before applying sunscreen. Then wipe the face with a soft towel. The skin of the face should be slightly wet.

2. Do not apply sunscreen directly. Apply a little moisturizer before applying sunscreen. This will maintain the moisture in the skin.

3. Use sunscreen 20 to 30 minutes before going out. It will adapt well to the skin. Otherwise there is no benefit in using sunscreen after going out in sunlight.

4. Use waterproof sunscreen if you have problems with excessive sweating. Even if you want to dive into the sea or take a bath in the swimming pool, use waterproof sunscreen. Otherwise the sunscreen will go up with water and sweat.

5. If you are out of the house, you have to apply sunscreen every 2 to 3 hours.

6. Even if there is no sun, you have to use sunscreen. Because clouds cannot block about 70 percent of the sun's ultraviolet rays. So be sure to apply sunscreen even on cloudy, rainy days.

7. Sunscreen should be applied not only on the face but also on the whole body which can be exposed to the sun.

8. Use a separate sunscreen for the face. Do not use any sunscreen on the face that is suitable for the body. Because facial skin is much more sensitive than body skin. So use a different sunscreen for the face and a different sunscreen for the body.

9. The more SPF that sunscreen has, the longer protection it has. If your skin color is pale, buy sunscreen with at least SPF 30. If it is brown, it will be in SPF20.

10. If you plan to spend time by the sea, your sunscreen SPF should be at least 30 to 50.

11. UV-A and UV-B, both types of sunlight are harmful to the skin. So before buying sunscreen, consider how well it can protect against UV-B rays as well as UV-rays. Before buying, check if there is anything like PA +, PA ++, PA +++ on the label. The more plus marks you have, the more your skin will be protected from UV.

12. If you have oily skin, apply gel-based or water-based sunscreen. If you have dry skin, choose oil-based sunscreen.

13. Test the patch before applying sunscreen. You do not have to suffer from sudden allergies.
